Permissions¶
We adopt the Principle of least privilege for managing permissions: you will have permissions only to perform actions you should suppose to perform.
In this page we list how this principle applies to the tools we use, and who to contact in case you need more permissions.
Gitlab’s permissions¶
Note
If you have any question or you need different permissions for any Gitlab’s project, please contact RScalco or ABessi.
Gitlab provides 5 different roles for groups and projects.
Nextbit’s group has 3 owners: FPagani, RScalco and ABessi. All the others members have developer role. When a new subgroup/project/repo is created, a different maintainer can be choosen: (s)he will be responsible for all the settings about that subgroup/project/repo.
DNS permissions¶
Note
If you need a new DNS entry, please contact FPagani.
FPagani has access to the DNS control panel.
GCP permissions¶
GCP permissions are quite complex. We have an account, with FPagani as owner, and multiple projects.
If you need a new dedicated project, contact FPagani. If you need permissions inside a project, ask the owner of the project.
AWS permissions¶
Note
If you need different permissions on AWS, please contact FPagani.
Root account and IAM permissions are managed by FPagani.
Azure permissions¶
Note
If you need different permissions on Azure, please contact FPagani.
Azure is managed by FPagani.
